This week, UA+Ed had the joy of welcoming the Upper Arlington Schools’ Class of 2038 with a beary special surprise. Every kindergartener received a fuzzy Golden Bear keychain and a bookmark — a small token to celebrate the start of their school journey.
For many of these students, stepping into kindergarten is their very first milestone in Upper Arlington Schools. It’s the beginning of friendships, new experiences, and exciting learning adventures. Our gift is a reminder that they are already an important part of the Golden Bear community.
To mark the occasion, we shared a short poem with our new students:
Kindergarten is beginning, the sun is shining bright.
Smiles greet you every day, like happy beams of light.
We’re sending you this little gift, a fuzzy Golden Bear.
Welcome to the school year — we’re so glad you’re here!
We couldn’t be more excited to watch the Class of 2038 grow, learn, and shine over the next 13 years. Welcome, Golden Bears — this is just the beginning!
By the time these Golden Bears walk across the stage to receive their diploma, each graduate will have benefited from multiple meaningful grants.
The Upper Arlington Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides access to meaningful opportunities for students that are beyond the budget of the Upper Arlington School District. Established in 1985, UA+Ed is permanently structured to fund programs and projects today and for generations to come. The Upper Arlington Alumni Association is an important part of the foundation and keeps graduates connected, engaged, and motivated to pay it forward.Â
