The Hawk mascot will visit classrooms throughout the year to bring lots of school spirit and cheer to the students and staff.

The lion mascot will help to build school community with online and hybrid learning. The mascot will encourage acts of kindness, PRIDE attributes, and teach students many of the social and emotional skills that are necessary for success.
Swank Streaming Video Service

Digital streaming service that allows teachers to show videos in class, or embed into learning platforms for students to watch at home.
Flexible Live Streaming Equipment
UA High School
This equipment will engage and connect students and families and the greater UAHS community to athletic games, school events, and more, during COVID-19 restrictions that limit spectator and audience size.

Upper class students at the High School are serving as mentors to freshmen and new students to help them develop a sense of belonging right away, even in the midst of a pandemic.
Dan Santat- Author Visit
All Elementary Schools
Dan Santat is a #1 New York Times Best Selling Author author/illustrator of over one hundred titles which include “The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend” which won the prestigious Randolph Caldecott Medal in 2015 will be spending a day at each elementary school during the 20/21 school year.
UA Alumni Association Ambassador Program

In honor of his service as an ambassador, the UAAA and UA+Ed have given Will the opportunity to give a grant, at his discretion, up to $500 to benefit the Upper Arlington School District. Check back for updates on what he decides to fund.
Color Me Columbus
All Elementary School 3rd grade students
The Color Me Columbus coloring books provide an opportunity for students and teachers to consider works of art in and around their own community. The coloring books offer an opportunity for discussion, reflection and an increased understanding of the visual experience whether we are in class or working within the confines of distance learning.
Innovate K12 Prototype
District-wide
Innovate K12 is a network of innovative school districts throughout the United States. The program focuses on the quest to solve real problems through discussion, ideation, and collaboration across grade levels.---and it allows student voice to be utilized in new ways.
America to Me - Documentary
Community Screening
America to Me examines racial, economic and class issues in contemporary American education through a multipart unscripted documentary series. The series was screened in 2019/20 with moderated community conversations.
Summer Meals Program

The UA+Ed partnered with community organizations and individual donors to provide funding for breakfasts and lunches for children throughout the summer. Thanks to the UA Community Foundation, the Columbus Foundation, The UA Rotary Club, the TriVillage Rotary Club and all of the School District PTOs.
